SAAB 37 Viggen

365 points  8.3 years ago

The Saab 37 Viggen ("Thunderbolt", ambiguous with ?"Tufted duck") is a Swedish single-seat, single-engine, short-medium range combat aircraft, manufactured between 1970 and 1990.

Altough this design lacks the turnable canards of the 39 Gripen(aka Pigpen) it still has quite the impressive turnrate for a delta wing aircraft.
Unlike the real Viggen that is armed with a 30 mm Oerlikon KCA cannon, this plane is instead armed with 2 .50 cals due to trouble with correct proportion(The minigu´n looks just ridiculous).

The current action groups are (1) Drop fueltank, (4) Fire inner wing missiles, and (5) Fire outer wing missiles.
