A good Reliable VTOL Fighter made in the CCCP a long ago

being known for being Deadly as the F-104... but for it's own pilots, and for a better reliability than a Ford Edsel, this was the first susccesful VTOL fighter/attacker that the soviet union made

for its shorts wings the plane cannot manuever so much, but have a good speed for its counterpart, the harrier

the Real Life Yak-38 has a combat range of around 250km that is not much, this is caused for the configuration of three engines for its hovering system, guzzling its 2750 Liters in a while. for that reason the pitot tube in the nose is a (ingame) refueling device

the Load Capacity is a little bit low, but you can hover with a full bomb load, but you can also change it for other weapons (cleavers are a very bad idea)

the yak-38 can cruise at a maximun speed of mach 1.03 (690knots) that is pretty good for a subsonic plane

Controls

Standard flying controls, automatic gyro disengage at 160 knots aprox

VTOL Down: Hover engines and nozzle down
Trim: Flaps

thrust needed for hover: 90% full load, 75% clean (fuel weight doesnt change)

----New Loadout: the outer pylons can load a R-60M Missile and a bomb, having the exact weight as the big bomb for hovering balance
