VF-18 Lagrange

855 Questionmark  7 months ago

The VF-18 Lagrange is a low-cost fighter aircraft developed by Clarent Aviation Industries for the Federation of Spycca. Not special in any way, it's low cost makes it easy to produce.

Controls:
AG1 = Jettison Missiles
AG7 = Drogue Chute

Notes:
- The VF-18 can handle some pretty rough handling, but pushing it too hard can get you in trouble.
- The VF-18 is very fuel hungry, but has no space for an external tank.

History:
The Spyccan Air Force has always had high-spec aircraft, that are incredibly effective and are the peak of fighter aircraft, but they are also very expensive to produce and maintain. Due to this, they requested a fighter aircraft capable of performing at a similar level to their other aircraft, at a lower cost. This requirement produced the VF-18 Lagrange. Low cost, decent maneuverability, and no specialties at all. Nothing about it stands out or excels at any particular field. Due to this, it has been quickly forgotten by the masses, despite it's extensive use in the Air Force.
