AN-24 Sea Lion - Carrier Attacker

60 IansPlanes  5.1 years ago

First entering service in April of 1942, the AN-24 Sea Lion was commisioned by the IDAF (Island Defense Air Force) to fill the need for a carrier-based, single-engine attack aircraft.

A deadly threat against ships, with impressive firepower and range, the Sea Lion was one of the first aircraft in IDAF inventory to mount remote-operated tail guns. Though originally designed as a torpedo bomber, the Sea Lion can be adapted to carry 250-lb bombs with no fuss. A pair of 30mm cannons mounted to the wings pose a significant threat to surface targets, but are less than ideal for air-to-air combat due to limited ammunition and difficulty of aim.

VTOL Down - Fold Wings.
VTOL Neutral - Unfold Wings.
AG 1 - Deploy Arrestor Hook.
AG 2 - Activate and Arm Tail Gun. Use Camera 1 and Pitch and Roll input to aim.

Flight Tip: This aircraft will SINK, NOT STALL - be careful of your speed during landing approach. I personally recommend 25% throttle for landing.
