The Mighty Marc, Pride of Silanesia Navy, SNS Fort Marcello

History

Fort Marcello, named after Fort Marcello on the Hill of Hergatz, was an LHD builded by Hargen Shipbuilding for the Silanesia Navy in 1993.

Fort Marcello was the leading ship of her class and commisioned in February 4, 1996. While her sister, SNS Fort Archer, was commissioned in October 15, 2000.

Operational History

1996-2003
-Fort Marcello involved in Operation Britannic, a SAR operation when a ferry ship, MV Festal, was sunk in the Strait of Chelko (July 12, 1998)
-In August 23, 2003, Fort Marcello taking a part in a counter terrorist operation in Silanesia, sending helicopter gunship to support Silanesia Police Special Forces, Ground Forces, and Marine Corps during the siege of coastal city of Argenburg

2007-present
Being a part of Silanesian Forces in Garadia (SILFOGAR), Fort Marcello was involved during Operation Vulture, Operation Sirocco, Operation Fahrenheit, and Operation Emerald. Carrying MQ-201 MALE UAV, utility helicopter, and attack helicopter
