🛡️ Sentinel Mk II – Heavy Main Battle Tank (1960s)

Development Background

In response to the emergence of new-generation Soviet tanks like the T-62 and T-64, the engineers behind the Sentinel Mk II were tasked with creating a vehicle that could:

Survive hits from modern armor-piercing rounds,

Deliver firepower capable of penetrating thick enemy armor,

And remain accurate and mobile enough to dominate the battlefield.

The objective was clear: build a tank that could outclass enemy standards while remaining reliable enough for mass production.

Technical Specifications

Total weight: 60 tons

Length (including gun): 10.5 m

Width: 3.5 m

Height: 2.85 m

Armor: Multilayer composite/rolled steel; frontal protection designed to withstand most 100–115 mm shells of the era

Engine: V12 diesel engine producing 1,010 horsepower

Top speed: 43 km/h (both forward and reverse)

Mobility: Excellent for its weight due to balanced design and reversible transmission system

Armament

🔸 Main Gun: 105 mm high-pressure cannon

APCBC (Armour-Piercing Capped Ballistic Cap) – Penetration: 302 mm at 500 m

HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank) – Penetration: 320 mm at all ranges

HE (High-Explosive) – 4.4 kg warhead, effective against infantry and light structures

🔸 Secondary Weapons

Coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun

Roof-mounted 12.7 mm heavy machine gun for anti-air or anti-personnel defense
The tank is known to spend a huge amount of Neurons and energy to the experienced player no I'm joking it's the tank of the morons by reference Well you just need to move forward and pay attention to your sides and shoot at everything that moves well normally no one will be able to do more than tickle you I deliberately say things that make no sense because NO BUT WHO READS WHAT I WRITE WHAT IS THE INTEREST In short eat water and drink vegetables 5 times per kilocalorie spent to try to start this tank

this tank is the result of when you mix a 1960s British MBT with a modern Soviet anti-air tank

    wait
    105mm APCBC during the 60s??
and damn it has pen value of 300mm RHA
i wonder how big the cartridge would be to propel that big shell to achieve such pen value
