Einkraft was in a dire time in 1992. Their cars weren't selling well at their home country. What was keeping them afloat was the okay sales at Canada and the former USSR countries, but they still were in deep trouble. The success of the Reliant Robin at the UK gave them an idea; They saw in the same market the Takswagen Boxy Bodyroller, made by a local car maker. So, they brought 300 of those 3-wheeled beasties, gave them an refreshed look and engine, and waited for the best. The good sales never came. The car saw only 198 sold units. The rest is in Einkraft's museum at Bern. 1992 was truly Einkraft's worst year.
