The Type 5 Fighter (Goshiki Sentoki) was a fighter plane of the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II, an improved version of the Type 3 Fighter (Hien) that replaced its liquid-cooled engine with a radial air-cooled engine. Its Ki number (prototype name) was Ki-100. It was abbreviated and called Type 5 Fighter, but in various official Army documents, the name Type 5 Fighter (or Type 5 Fighter) is never used, and it is written simply as Ki-100. This variant was designed in 1946 as a prototype equipped with the Homare engine.
