In the early 2000s, facing advanced technology embargoes from NATO nations—which included cutting-edge aero-engines used by Boeing and Airbus—the Republic of Aerolstad embarked on an ambitious project to create its own independent wide-body airliner. The initial AR-191A, constrained by the thrust limitations of domestic AL-35 engines, adopted a distinctive tri-jet configuration as a pragmatic solution for performance and range.

The “Triumph” in its name is not only includes a "Tri-" for the engine, but also reflects its evolutionary journey: the AR-191B variant ingeniously transformed the center engine position into a versatile testbed for next-generation powerplants. This bold move turned a compromise into a strategic advantage. Today, the definitive AR-191C represents the culmination of this progress, equipped with three powerful, modern AL-50 turbofans. While most AR-191C models feature a stretched fuselage for maximum capacity, this particular model is an AR-191C-100, representing the standard-length, baseline variant of the final “Claire” series.
