B-29 Superfortress

Boeing's piston engine bomber of 1942. Payload of 6,000lb of bombs.

Weighing a total of a hundred thousand pounds at takeoff, you need to give it good runway length. It will climb slowly at speed and gain altitude. A good pilot who flew the Enola Gay knows the best angle of climb for this Giant. You soon will know too...

It has more than enough bombs to flatten anything and any mission you go for. There is a working turret that you can control effectively to shoot down planes that are chasing you. Having put it in dogfight mode with the Russian Mig 15bis, the turret clearly gives a good punch back.

Since it is easier for the turret to be controlled by mouse joystick. I have switched around the controls for the control surfaces.

Trim for Pitch, Yaw for roll. Use mouse joystick for back turret control. Have fun with tonnes of bombs and shooting down fighters in dogfights!

To open bomb bay:
Put VTOL to maximum. (upwards)

To use turret effectively:
Push throttle to maximum
Trim aircraft into level flight
Switch to Turret Camera
Fire at the chasing aircraft
