Exactly what it says on the tin. Activation Group 1 controls propeller blade pitch(VTOL slider, Up = forward) and Activation Group 2 controls the retractable landing gear(also VTOL slider, this time direction doesn't really matter too much). Feel free to experiment and improve!

@Wakescar I've just not been in the mood to do anything recently in the game, plus, I've been doing other things(like the warship mod and IRL work and stuff). I have a few projects in various stages of completion, but they are all waiting on something or I just haven't gotten around to them. I don't really try to compete in the best replica categories anymore, instead doing unique things and trying out new technologies. I haven't had any good ideas in a while, though. However, your comment here got me thinking about the propeller, and I just had an idea as to how maybe I could build a better version that actually works, so.... yeah. The fires of creation may not be roaring once more, but for the first time in quite awhile, theres a bit of a spark. Just gonna have to see if this one pans out, or whether it turns into a technological dead-end like the last few.

That's very cool that they provide any thrust at all. I may have to apply this sometime. I would give credit of coarse. It would be great if they could alter the physics to better allow for the use of this. Although it may be dIfficult to do without making everything nearly indestructible. Your P-90 Turbinia was a very attractive application. We haven't seen an UnstableOrbit upload in a while. Here's hoping the lack of honor in the simpleworld has not brought you to stay your sword against it my friend...

@Wakescar Also, at least a few users did utilize this prop design. There were a few big bomber replicas that came out after this using a similar setup; however, I do not believe they had the variable-pitch feature. I don't see it around too often anymore, though I made very good use of a variation of this design inside my P-90 Turbinia

@Wakescar I've run tests where I set the VTOL nozzles to always point sideways(by having them rotate opposite the propeller blades), making them produce no directional thrust. In those cases, the blades alone were able to get the plane moving at around 65mph under certain circumstances. Phillip tested the concept with some developer tools and was able to get the blades spinning so fast that they produced as much thrust as a medium jet engine, but at those rotation speeds, the game physics can't keep up and the blades actually stretch out as if they are mounted on springs.

Why haven't I seen anyone utilize this prop design? Insane. Do you know if the blades themselves provides thrust?

Awesome, I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone do this yet.
