Operation

Activate flight controls and engines to take off and fly. Trim the aircraft for level flight (if required, depends on load).
Activate gyroscopes and disable flight controls if you want to take control of turrets. To control turrets, switch to the desired turret view and activate the turret. Control turrets using pitch and roll, mouse control works best for precision aiming. To take control of the aircraft again, disable the corresponding turret action group, enable flight controls and disable gyroscopes.
Weapons can be deployed from any station and the aircraft can still be controlled via yaw and trim at any time.

I also noticed that it's listed as a successor to a much earlier bomber of mine, it's actually unrelated. I loaded up the old bomber, took it apart to use some bits, eventually deleted it and started anew.

    Thanks @DerekSP

I haven't played SP for a while, started tinkering with it again and it sucked me right back in.
