This small escort carrier was designed to protect merchant convoys at a relatively low cost, which was achieved with the hull of a merchant ship and the modified superstructure of an old destroyer.
To ensure that it would be fast enough to outrun most cruisers, two 20,000hp propellers were added, giving this ship a total of 60,000hp.
As for any destroyers or PT boats that get too close, the ship has also been fitted with two 8 inch triple turrets.
Activation group 8: De/activates propeller, rudder
VTOL slider to control propeller pitch. Leave the VTOL slider at 1/2 up or 1/2 down for the best results.
Trim slider to control rudder. Trim up=turn to starboard. Trim down=turn to port.

I do not understand why a PT boat would engage this, unless under heavy night cover, or under stealth conditions, in dock. However, those destroyers will not be getting anywhere close to this.
