MAH-216 "ALBATROS" - is a multifunctional airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft complex, developed as a deep modification of an existing heavy transport aircraft. The apparatus combines high realism with thoughtful technical characteristics for performing strategic tasks.
The "Albatros" is designed to control vast air and sea space, detect and identify targets, determine their coordinates and trajectories, and coordinate the actions of fighter aircraft and air defense forces. It serves as a mobile airborne command post.
The aircraft is based on a modified airframe, which provides it with high payload capacity and reliability. The main distinctive feature is the massive rotating disk fairing (radome) above the fuselage, which houses a powerful pulse-Doppler radar station with all-round visibility.
