Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker-B

91.7k WHNineTripleOne  1.9 years ago
Auto Credit Based on KH2B's Su 33 Flanker D

An aircraft planned and manufactured by the old Soviet Union.
It features incredibly high combat capabilities and long range flight time, to compete with F-15s from the United States. It is also currently still used in Russia, older nations from the former Soviet Union, and the third world.
Large in size and yet with excellent maneuverability, its wide ranging potential has led to many variants being created, and it can be said to be an aircraft representative of the 4th generation on the Eastern side.
Its NATO codename is "Flanker".

The plane is not mine, i just remastered it. Credits to KH2B for the plane. It also delivered or a from my previous plane.

About:

The Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker-B is a Soviet-origin twin-engine supermaneuverable fighter aircraft designed by Sukhoi. It was intended as a direct competitor for the large United States fourth-generation fighters such as the Grumman F-14 Tomcat and McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, with 3,530-kilometre (1,910 nmi) range, heavy aircraft ordnance, sophisticated avionics and high maneuverability. The Su-27 was designed for air superiority missions, and subsequent variants are able to perform almost all aerial warfare operations. It was designed with the Mikoyan MiG-29 as its complement.

The Su-27 entered service with the Soviet Air Forces in 1985. The primary role was long range air defence against American SAC Rockwell B-1B Lancer and Boeing B-52G and H Stratofortress bombers, protecting the Soviet coast from aircraft carriers and flying long range fighter escort for Soviet heavy bombers such as the Tupolev Tu-95, Tupolev Tu-22M and Tupolev Tu-160.[2]

The Su-27 was developed into a family of aircraft; these include the Su-30, a two-seat, dual-role fighter for all-weather, air-to-air and air-to-surface deep interdiction missions, and the Su-33, a naval fleet defense interceptor for use from aircraft carriers. Further versions include the side-by-side two-seat Su-34 strike/fighter-bomber variant, and the Su-35 improved air superiority and multi-role fighter. The Shenyang J-11 is a Chinese licence-built version of the Su-27.

Features:

  • Due to it's delivered from the previous Su-33, there is some downgrades:

    • Removed the front canard wings.
    • Wings are no longer foldable.
    • Removed the arresting hook, no longer carrier-capable.
  • Some visual changes and remastering, with camouflage and decals (Based on winter camouflage).

  • "Almost' accurate cockpit and interior (Yeah i tried my best).
  • Less than 500 parts.
  • Changed the landing gear into the default stock landing gear (the reason why i replace the landing gear because the original custom made landing gear makes the plane control becoming wonky, and almost impossible to land).
  • Not-all interactive cockpit).
  • PSM capability/AOA limiter.
  • Working RADAR and instruments.
  • Working HUD.
  • Brake no longer needed activation group.
  • Added refuel probe.
  • Instruction included.

Weapons:

6x R-27.
4x R-73M (AA-11 Archer).

Controls:

Normal flight control.

VTOL = Flaps.
TRIM = Trim (Seemsly non-functional).

Miscellaneous:

AG1 = Lights.
AG2 = Refuel probe.
AG3 = Open/close canopy.
AG4 = AOA Limiter/Toggle PSM Mode.
AG5 = Stabilizator.
AG7 = Eject seat/bail out.
AG8 = Toggle wing fold.

PSM Control:

Post Stall Maneuvers can be initiated by slowing the aircraft down to around 200 mph or lower by holding brakes [B]. After the speed reach 200 mph or below, press pitch up [S] followed by throttle [LShift]. Make sure the PSM mode [AG4] is activated.

Bugs/glitches:

  • Most the plane wings livery are glitchy. Not a dangerous glitch or even making your game crashed, but it just looks kinda annoying and ugly.

    @WolfHunter9111 ohh, that means you didnt use the half slice wing technique to make camos, make it small by 0.001% percent (like if your main fuselage is 3, make it 2.98) but since you are using stock wings its harder to do
