next is Webcore, and boy do I have a story with this one
on November 29th, 1999, NetAir.com flight 197 crashed into the foothills of the Rockies, 30 miles away from the small town of Travel, CO, it appeared to have nosedived after the left engine failed. which was found to be due to a lack of maintenance, when they investigated they found something shocking, even though the CEO said they ran maintenance on all of their 57 737-200s, the maintenance workers claimed to have only worked on one. soon the truth came out; the CEO, David Werkeski bought a used 737-200 off of Ebay at the start of 1997, and decided to start the cheapest airline, using only 1 plane, 50 buckets of paint, a spray painter, and a Helvetica Stencil, which all cost a grand total of $1000. an $1000 airline meant he couldn't buy any more planes, so he just swapped the names on the planes, from Web Surfer to Net Runner, among others. sometimes the plane wasn't in for maintenance for months at a time and when it was, it was barely there for an hour before it had to service the next flight. the airline was bringing in millions, all from one plane, but the rushed maintenance caught up with it in the skies above Colorado, a rusted system in the left engine failed, causing the Thrust Reverser to activate mid-flight, sending the plane into a nose-dive 8'000 ft above the ground, and that's what sealed the fate of all 107 passengers and crew aboard. David Werkeski was brought in and arrested on 107 charges of manslaughter, he's currently still serving his sentence.
to cause engine failure
deactivate AG 2
throttle to 0%
deactivate AG1 and reactivate AG2
Throttle back to 100%
have fun dying!
P.S I thought I posted this.
