FJ Mk.1B F 'Nipper 2'

15 B3nj1  9.3 years ago

The Nipper 2 was directly descended from the 'Nipper' of the Wright Isles Air Defence Force. With Further developments in jet technology, the 'Nipper' was soon outclassed and so the Nipper two was an extensive redesign to fit new, much more powerful engines. The new aircraft was incredibly fast, but sacrificed a significant amount of manoeuvrability meaning that the 'Nipper' 1 was still kept in service for dogfighting and home defence. The Nipper 2 had the speed and range to attempt to wrestle air superiority from the Krakabloa Air air over their home territory, but efforts eventually reached a stalemate.

This fighter (F) variant of the Nipper 2 rendered propeller driven heavy bombers obsolete, being too fast for their defences and with a heavy armament. Currently Mk. 1B F aircraft are reserve fighters to protect the Wright Isles.
