In 2016, the most advanced aircraft was adopted by the USAF, USN, and USMC. This aircraft would change the way that air combat was envisioned with a focus on stealth and the long range BVR fight. This marvel of technology is the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. Affectionately nicknamed the "Panther", the F-35 would come in 3 main variants: the F-35A (USAF & CTOL), the F-35B (USMC & STVOL), and the F-35C (USN & Carrier Ops). F-35A is a Jack-of-all-trades fighter, and has the ability to detect, lock, and fire before any other aircraft can see it. The F-35 possesses the capability to commit Post Stall Maneuvers (PSM). It's maneuverability is comparable to the F/A-18E or F-22A. The "Panther" is a formidable foe in a close quarters dogfight. The F-35 has the most sophisticated sensor equipment.
