An advanced, monstrously powerful 60s-era turbocharged diesel V8 engine/generator set based on a dream I had three years ago.
Going by the dream's lore, the Monster V8 apparently is;
Extremely loud. The massive twin turbochargers emit 150 decibels at standard RPM and 200 at the highest RPM.
As large as a diesel locomotive (30 meters), rivalling the Wartsila RTA96C ship engine in size but is not as heavy to permit a higher RPM. Too large for a Civic.
Produces a massive cloud of black smoke at max RPM that is 1 kilometre high and is 20 times more polluting than a cow burping and a smoke billowing factory combined. As a result, the V8 is only allowed to run at 500 RPM by companies.
It produces 40,000 HP at 500 RPM but due to lacking an ECU, it can rev far past the redline all the way to 1260 RPM at the absolute highest, far higher than any engine comparable to its size due to its specialized pistons and advanced crossplane crankshaft. It would produce 1 million horsepower although due to the physical limitations of the most advanced materials, the engine would explode if it lasted longer than 60 seconds.
As emissions apparently weren't crucial in the 1950s, the diesel's pollution would be highly inefficient, producing unburned toxins and if it revved to 1260 RPM, raw unburned fuel and exhaust would spew from the CFM56-sized turbochargers, which leak an enormous plume dense oily black smoke at 500 RPM.
You are allowed to use this engine in your creations but credit this engine as "Monster V8".
