Gontar M-53

The forgotten M-53 is back now

We used to post a military model with the same name 4 years ago. Inspired from the Jeep Willys, we removed it for some technical reasons. Gontar brought it back with an entire new base, as inspired from the Citroën Mehari.

With a weight of 663kg, the M-53 is a 4-wheel drive car, that is affordable and a good partner for rocky and sandy roads ahead. Its suspensions system can reduce the shock reaction from the ground to the chassis, creating a soft driving environment. Its chassis is made of ABS plastic, which is very light, hard and can handle a good part of shocks.

The M-53 is powered by an atmospheric, piston-propelled inline 4 engine, making 29 horsepowers. It can reach 100kmh in 19.38 seconds, and has a top speed of 124km/h.

There are 3 indicators:

The left one is the fuel indicator
The middle one is the speedometer
The right one is a compass.

The M-53 is equipped with fog lights, two upon the front bumper, and a little one on the left rear lights.

A new improvement: the M-53 has now its doors activable! Using the Landing Gear button, you can now open and close the side and rear doors. A novelty that will probably not be on all newer Gontar models.

Despite its low horsepower number and not able to climb every hill, this would not be the only model, more will come soon or later. This is a civil/military model that can be enjoyable in every way, with a large boot size, that can transport people, stuff, even weapons can be attached on it.
