Akashi was a Neorasia repair ship, serving during 1975-2065. She was the only specifically designed repair ship operated by the Neorasia Navy Force

History

Second Neo on terror

Akashi served in the Yumemori Gulf during the Second Neo on terror in 1987. She was known as a "floating supermarket" because of all the goods she carried.

First reconstruction

In 1990 Akashi underwent her first reconstruction, the reconstruction included increasing the width and length of the ship and replacing the ship's engines with newer ones.

Second reconstruction

In 2007 Akashi underwent her second reconstruction. The reconstruction included replacing the crane, replacing the engine and adding a 105 millimeter automatic cannon and 25mm Type 15 CIWS as a defensive weapon.

After the 7 October Tragedy

2 weeks after the October 7 tragedy in 2020, Akashi took part in cleaning up the mess that occurred at Yumemori port, and she also helped repair the SCN/NNF Rock Fish, which is the only destroyer that survived
