This tank is pure fiction.

Lore:

In an alternate timeline, the Soviet Union continued to exist into the 21st century. As tensions between the USSR and the West continued to escalate, the Soviet military poured significant resources into developing their own modern main battle tank.

Inspired by the German Leopard 2A4, the Soviet tank designers set out to create their own version, which they dubbed the BT-272. The BT-272 would feature many of the same advanced technologies as the Leopard 2A4, including a better powerful 130mm smoothbore gun, advanced armor protection, and a highly sophisticated fire control system.

After years of research and development, the BT-272 was finally ready for production. The Soviet Union boasted an impressive tank force, but the introduction of the BT-272 gave them an unparalleled advantage on the battlefield. The BT-272 proved to be a highly effective tank, capable of taking on even the most advanced Western tanks with ease.

As the Soviet Union continued to expand its influence across the globe, the BT-272 became a symbol of Soviet military might. It was feared and respected by soldiers and military strategists around the world.

But despite its impressive capabilities, the BT-272 could not save the Soviet Union from its eventual downfall. In the late 2020s, economic turmoil and political instability and lack of war support rocked the country, and the Soviet Union finally collapsed.

The BT-272, once a symbol of Soviet power, was sold off to other countries around the world. Some countries, such as China and North Korea, used the tank to bolster their own military capabilities, while others, such as Germany and the United States, studied the tank's design to gain a better understanding of the once Soviet Era military technology.

Today, the BT-272 remains a highly respected tank, remembered for its impressive capabilities and the role it played in shaping the history of the world and New Russia.
