DB-13 Okami

7,203 Xogo  7.8 years ago

A mid-WWII inspired all purpose fighter, built primarily with maneuverability in mind, the Okami (Japanese for wolf, according to google translate) is a fairly simple, yet effective killer. Armed with twin 20mms (wings) and two 7.7s (nose), this fighter is capable of tearing apart anything that dares to let itself in front of it.

The name and paint are, obviously, Japanese based. I chose that because the general design just felt very japanese to me - It was based off a plane I based off a Zero, and effectively just mixed with a Ki-43. The red parts of the paint job denote the plane's squad (which I believe is sentai, in japanese. For aerial squads specifically), not that I actually gave it any important one.

Kudos to komuhachi for the smaller guns and tail wheel.

Note: The fuselage guns actually aren't firing anything. Their activation is bound to 7 and the plane explodes if you fire them. The bullets you see coming from that area are from guns hiden inside the engine cowling.
