hello guys this is a another german plane its my fav plane to fly in sp and flys pretty well anyways heres some history about it:

Canadair CL-13 Sabre — Short History

Overview

The Canadair Sabre (company designation CL-13) is the Canadian-built version of the famous North American F-86 Sabre — one of the most important early transonic jet fighters. Canadair built the Sabre under licence for the Royal Canadian Air Force and for export customers, adding local production improvements and engine options over its manufacturing run.

Origins & Development
• The F-86 Sabre was designed in the United States just after World War II as a swept-wing, transonic jet fighter to counter emerging high-speed threats. Its first flights and development were done by North American Aviation.
• Canadair obtained a licence to produce the Sabre for Canada and other customers. Under the CL-13 programme Canadair manufactured the airframe and made progressive local modifications to engines, radios and equipment to suit Commonwealth and export needs.

Design & Characteristics
• The Sabre family is known for its swept wings, excellent handling near transonic speeds, and an effective mix of speed, maneuverability and firepower (cannons and machine guns depending on model).
• Canadair-built Sabres retained the core F-86 aerodynamics but were produced with regional equipment differences and sometimes different powerplants in later blocks — resulting in improved performance for some Canadian Marks.

Operational Service
• Canadair Sabres served as the backbone of the Royal Canadian Air Force fighter force in the 1950s and were also exported to a number of allied air forces around the world.
• Globally, Sabres (the North American-built and Canadair-built types) gained their greatest fame in the Korean War, where the F-86 proved a match for the Soviet-built MiG-15 in the first big jet-vs-jet combat of history. Canadair Sabres themselves were more prominent in the post-Korea decade as frontline fighters and as peacetime defence assets.
• Canadair Sabres also became popular as high-performance trainers and with national aerobatic teams in the 1950s.

Legacy
• The Canadair CL-13 helped establish Canadair as a major jet aircraft manufacturer and kept many NATO and Commonwealth air forces equipped during the early Cold War transition to jet power.
• The Sabre’s handling, performance and combat record helped shape fighter design and aerial tactics in the early jet age; the type influenced many later fighter designs and remains one of the classic jets of the 20th century.
