Gold plated DeLorean's
As part of promotion back in 1980 100 24karat gold plated DeLoreans were made, these where some whopping successes! A whole two Deloreans where sold..
Each DeLorean went for $85,000 and this is without taking inflation into account.
One of the two golden Deloreans sat in a glass display case in the Snyder National Bank lobby, later it was moved to the Petersen Automotive Museum where it is sometimes on display.
And the other Delorean can be found in the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada where unlike BoganBoganTheMan's treachery it can almost always be seen.
