Dragon of the carriers

The M.50 Seadragon is Anglia's multipurpose carrier based airframe capable of fighter escort, ground attack, anti ship and anti sub operations. It is characterized by it's significant size especially compared to fellow Carrier based aircraft. The size was to facilitate the two massive engines located in front and behind the cockpit. Naturally, the size of the Seadragon made it a bit more difficult to fit inside the hangars of aircraft carriers, so she was fitted with a Folding wing that tucks in sideways to the aircraft, allowing for a very compact storage.

Her powerful engines and massive wing allow for decent turn fighting, but she excels best at Energy fighting with her ridiculous speed advantage. Her high payload capacity also allows for mounting of various munitions through hard points in the wing, such as fuel tanks, bombs, rockets, depth charges or any combination of the 3, with later variants capable of mounting a 21" torpedo in the centerline, a true multirole aircraft

Seadragons began entering service at the tail end of 1943, Participating until the war's end. Pilots that flew the seadragon often praise her handling, particularly her speed and payload capacity, though the Anglian navy was a bit put off by her size and her expensive costs, though they ultimately loved it for its multirole capabilities. She'd be slowly replaced by emerging turboprop and jet designs a few years after the war, retiring from the Anglian naval air arm in early 1954
