KLM operated a fleet of 737-400 from 1989 until 2011.
The 737-classics where the backbone of KLM’s short haul operations for a long time, until they where fully replaced by more efficient aircraft.
PH-BPA was delivered to KLM in 1997, the aircraft was named after the famous scientist: Albert Einstein.
In 2000, KLM retired PH-BPA; however the aircraft is still in service as a freighter aircraft, operating under the registration: 9H-AJX.
