You might want to consider narrowing down the armament. If you want the F-50 to be an escort craft, focus on the long-range missiles, provide one or two cannons and cut the rest. It'll minimize weight and drag to increase efficiency.

@bskngshrk They're actually supposed to be Close Combat fighters and Escorts believe it or not.

Just flew it for a quick test. Its greatest advantage lies in its speed and rate of climb, but it is outmatched in maneuverability once the Russians jettison the bombs. The Yak-105 also features a specially made double-shot cannon and optional triple-shot anti-tank cannon, so the F-50 can't hold itself in a dogfight. Both planes can sidestep long-range missile shots, so even if the battle started with the formations spaced out, they'd be forced to converge into eachother and fight in close quarters, where the Yak-105 shines with its superior guns. @SimpleName11
