The VAC-715 was the first aircraft to have tandem-arranged airbrakes. They were released from pods on the wingtips, also where the landing gear was placed. With a contra-rotating propeller system, it had better preformance than most planes of its time having high agility and speed. However, the VAC-715 fell out of use in 1976 and was not developed by then.
