Since the US Navy is looking for a new frigate, I've taken it upon myself to create a concept I have made, isnpired by numerous ships all clobbered together into one frigate. Now, to the details. This ship is outfitted for any situation, with a rapid firing 105mm L7A1 prototype, 2 Phalanx CIWS with optimal coverage, 86 VLS cells with the option of ASROC missiles, Tomahawks, or Surface to Air missiles. There are also 2 RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile launchers for even more close in support. This ship ALSO has 2 .50 cal machine guns and 2 automatic 37 millimeter autocannons to deal with swarming boast, and experimental torpedo launchers designed to fire the Mk. 48 ADCAP heavyweight torpedo. There are aviation facilities for a dedicated ASW helo and a hangar to store the helo. To deal with a multitude of missions, 4 RIBs are stored, 2 on deck and 2 in a storage area, complete with cranes to lower the boats. AG. 2 and 3 are navigation lights, 4 are strobes for landing and 5 are general use lights to illuminate doors and vital areas. Enjoy my forst ship!. More to come...
