The Airbus A330 is a wide-body aircraft developed and produced by Airbus. Airbus conceived several derivatives of the A300, its first airliner in the mid-1970s. Then the company began development on the A330 twinjet in parallel with the A340 quadjet and launched both designs with their first orders in June 1987. The A330-300, the first variant, took its maiden flight in November 1992 and entered service with Air Inter in January 1994. The slightly shorter A330-200 variant followed in 1998.

Northern Air operated 16 A330-300s in its history but only 6 in active service and 3 in storage.

About the aircraft: This A330-300 was delivered to Northern Air on April 2001 and was the 4th A330 in the fleet, she was regristred C-QMOV. From December 2013 to April 2014, she was leased to Garuda Indonesia. She flown for Northern Air again but then she was leased to AirAsia X from February 2016 to December 2016 and continued operations with Northern Air, until July 2020 when Northern Air had to retire 7 A330-300s, 4 Boeing 737-800s, and 5 Boeing 767-300ERs. And C-QMOV was one of them, she was later stored at Marana Pinal Airpark, USA from July 16 to July 28 before being moved to Kemble Cotswold Airport, UK. She stayed at the airport for 3 years before February 2022 when she was reported to be partially scrapped, and in April 2022, she was sadly destroyed by excavators. Although shes no longer able to fly, atleast we can see her... as a Coke can...
