Elephant Industries EIP-200

2,030 ZeElephant  8.4 years ago

Designed as a regional or corporate aircraft, the EIP-200 is powered by twin 1800 horseower engines connected to counter-rotating propellors. It's good for longer cruises with large amounts of fuel held inside, and it can comfortably cruise at 400 miles per hour. The wings are a special shape chosen for a blend of aerodynamics and overall badassery.

Activate group 2 to use flaps with VTOL. They don't do much, but they look cool. It takes off around 160 miles per hour, and be careful on pitch inputs as the horizontal stabilizers are a little flimsy.

As always, enjoy the aircraft!

I've posted a new version of the EIP-200 now with substantially less floppiness! https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/NBx4M2/Elephant-Industries-EIP-200-V-2

@FlyingRaptor I suppose I was going for .xml editing with my last post, I just used the wrong word. I wasn't able to .xml mod before, but now that I've found out where the files are with the Steam version I'll be revisiting this to make it less floppy.

@ZeElephant you dont need modded parts to use fusilage blocks on wings, they fit together with the stock game.

@FlyingRaptor I can't do that because I don't have ways of making my own modded parts. I haven't found a sure-fire way to fix the tail end flimsiness though.

Great plane, exept the weak wings, may I suggest adding fusilages to the wings to add strength and create a more realistic look to the plane

The flaps are actually very effective because they directly influence those flimsy wings
