38cm SK C/34 Gun & Drh LC/34 Turret
The Kriegsmarine's 14.96" (380mm) gun is the primary weapon mounted on the famous Bismarck-class Battleships of Nazi Germany during the Second World War.
A modification of the gun was made for coastal artilleries, named Siegfried Guns, alongside further planned implementations where the guns were destined to be mounted on the Gneisenau and Scharnhorst. and the proposed O-Class Cruisers.
The build itself is essentially the most true to shape iteration Simpleplanes has seen, as it strictly follows the very shape of the gun house, as per several prints organized in reliability that were used during the modelling, alongside using several fancy Fuselage techniques to bring down the part count to a very mobile-friendly number, while providing several features for users such as Trim Paint for the turret roof colors if you'd like :))
I definitely not purposely, and intentionally, label it as a 14" gun, trust me vro frfr.
3rd and 3.5th iteration of the Independent Reload Sequence Feature
Besides the Part-saving methods that put this turret to low-end device-friendly levels, the build also features an update to the reload sequence tech I've been using on recent guns that makes the reloading and firing of the guns more immersive, this iteration fully eliminates the need of external rotators that act as the stopwatch for the reload timer, making it more digital than analogue, easier to tune, and easy to implement.
This build specifically features the 3.5th iteration, as it includes an additional condition that first depresses or elevates the gun to a loading angle before reloading can commence, in the Drh LC/34's case, a loading angle of +2 degrees.
