Funky Trees Short Range Air Defense Missile
A completely funky trees guided missile designed with high agility to hit short-range targets with high accuracy. No part of this build is guided by the in-game default missiles or gyros.
AI Usage
- Download and spawn as Aggressive on any ground surface
- Fly within 15km/9.3mi of the missile and it will start tracking you
- The missile can be temporarily defeated using countermeasures, however, it will attempt to re-acquire lock of the player as long as there is still fuel on board
Player Usage
- Spawn in and simply acquire lock on any air target, press fire, and enjoy the fireworks

Dodging the Missile
- Countermeasures will cause the missile to stop leading the target but continue to point towards the target.
- If the missile is less than 1 km from the target or all fuel is depleted, it will ignore all countermeasures.
- The missile still has a hard time maneuvering when facing straight up, thus one can fly directly over the missile in order to dodge it.
How It Works
The missile uses a Inertial Guidance System, where the missile take into account of the elevation angle and the heading of the target, the speed at which that is changing, and the acceleration of those values. It is then multiplied by a lead factor to make the missile respond more dramatically to changes to those values. The calculated values are followed by PID controllers that control the canards of the missile to match the missile's current pitch angle and heading to that which was calculated.
Known Problems
- The proximity detonation may be unreliable at times, especially if your device is lagging
- The performance of the missile as a whole may depend on your device's performance
- The missile has a hard time maneuvering when it is pointed straight up/down

Looks cool love shoot down air targets
This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! I even managed to shoot down this missile with a counter-missile. Set the lock-on timer to 0.1 and intercepted an Aggressive-AI missile that was going for another plane :)
