The reconnaissance aircraft PR-B31.

The PR-B31 aircraft was ordered by Indonesian freedom fighters in late 1920's as the part of "National Independence Aviation Program". This aircraft was originally designed for reconnaissance missions to the Dutch military base, but some of the latest modifications to the aircraft are fitted with a Light Machine Guns in the front to defend itself from Dutch fighters.

This aircraft was designed by Prof. Abdurrahman Sutejo, and has been revised several times. Because the people want a simple & relatively inexpensive aircraft in its operation and maintenance. But in the same time many factories were controlled by the Dutch, eventually the people asked for Soviet assistance in the manufacture of engines and navigation systems.
