Designed to mimic the American's shift away from turnfighters towards powerful, armoured diving fighters, the Hayate proved so successful that the Japanese rushed manufacturing, building factories hidden in mountainous caves. This was a critical error, quality problems emerged as a massive flaw in combat.

@Mainblocks I decided to go for the KI-84 over the KI100 simply because the KI84 was produced in far greater numbers, the KI100 was a pretty rare sight in combat. I wanted to represent a countries most numerous, best fighter for the mid war timeline.

Quick note : The Ki-100 is unknow to most of the public but, he was superior to any american and japaneses design of its time. Yes, he was superior to the Ki-84.
