Flown by the famous pilot Kujuhachi Jusenshi. Allied pilots called him "The Black Falcon" due to his painting his fighter aircraft jet black, and his tendency to dive on his enemies. Andromedian pilots also referred to his plane as "The Reaper." In 1936, its predecessor, powered by two 9-cylinder radial engines, met a happy medium in the "Air Cruiser" competition between two larger and more heavily armed designs, and the "Destroyers," which happened to be single engine aircraft mainly used as an interceptor. The size of the D4J proved ideal, and so a switch to more streamlined engines, combined with the addition of a second crewman to manage some of the aircraft's systems, developed the K-99J-2, which later became referred to as the J-1E. the J-1F took on a better supercharging system, and the J-1G would be the only aircraft of its submodel.

For reference in the past, I chose to delete my old account and start a new one. This is one of the aircraft I loved working on, and is my favorite design. For the sake of fairness, though, I did additional tweaking to the design, including various code changes, and throwing in a RAT(Ram Air Turbine) should the hydraulics somehow get shot out. Also, I made a change with some or all damage models being changed from rotator-on-glass to the newer cockpit-coordinate system.
