made to be a small jet aircraft able to take off from anywhere this proto type was competeing with another aircraft the F/A 1 flatner for a contract to build 400 aircraft while being more nimble then the flatner the pilots didnt like it becuse of its heavy reliance on trim after take off and its short range while loving its menvurabilty in combat along with its 40mm main cannon and heavy armorment but was less capible of taking hits so it lost the contract
