HMCS Montreal (Aircraft carrier challenge)

1,534 CanCav  4.3 years ago

The HMCS Montreal is the first And only Montreal class heavy carrier built by the Royal Canadian Navy.

Rushed into production at the start of The War of 2020 (aka World War III) as the RCN realized it was in desperate need of a capable carrier to support allies in the war. She was completed in record time (Just two years) though it was obvious to anyone who served on her that she was rushed into service. She lacked defensive armament completely, instead relying on her support fleet and aircraft for defence. She is a diesel electric powered carrier with a very shallow draft in order to get as close to shore as needed during missions as she can also be used as an amphibious assault craft when needed.

She carries a total of:
12 CF-39 Vulture carrier based fighters
12 CA-70 Sturgeon STOL strike aircraft
CH-148 Cyclone helicopters.

Her aviation facilities include:
2 electromagnetic catapults
2 aircraft elevators
3 heliports
Two large hangars below decks
And her flight-deck is large enough to launch STOL aircraft safely.

Controls:
Throttle for power
Yaw for turning (left is left, right is right) (*note: she turns like a BUFF so you will need to hold it for a while)
VTOL is for the exhaust shields on the catapults
Ag 1,2 for the front catapults. (CF-39) (You will need throttle to fly the aircraft)
Ag 3 for the third aircraft. (CA-70)

Thanks mate! I’ve been working on improving it (though I’m not exactly an expert lol) I’ll be sure to add that to my second try. @Iloveburlington

It’s a good work, but hard to fly the micro jets because of the cameras and the stability needs some work, other wise, I respect the ship
