45 Zenvau  3.9 years ago

Built by Lindberg-Linköping Flygplanverken AB from 1941-1946, the LF-1 (designated as JA 1) is the LFV's first combat aircraft for the Swedish Royal Air Force and later, the Finnish Air Force. Used for both air-to-air and air-to-surface missions hence the JA designation.

Equipped with LFV's air-cooled V12 which can easily take it to a top speed of about 400mph, it is not a slow aircraft for its time. It is armed with six 8mm Ksp m/22F machine guns (m.1941) or Ksp m/42 machine guns (m.1942-1946) and four LFV-Bofors 15mm HMGs. It can carry five 500kg bombs, nine 250kg bombs, or a mix of both. Later, it was modified to equip 20 rockets.

A total of 300 were built, most were used by the Swedish Royal Airforce and 10 were used by Finland in the continuation war.

Controls: Roll for roll, pitch for pitch, yaw for yaw, and throttle for throttle.
