[SU1946] Messerschmitt Me P.1107/IIZ (Fighter-Bomber)

SU1946 stands for Simple Universe 1946, it is a series of late-WWII (or prototypes) planes plus some fiction. Planes in this series would have significantly better performance than their historical counterpart, and would receive a "Z" in their names to distinguish them from other, more accurate replicas.

This is the Simple Universe version of the Messerschmitt Me P.1107/II, set to be a high-speed bomber (Schnellbomber) and a heavy fighter/interceptor provided by Messerschmitt as a response to the ever-increasing threat of Soviet mechanized offensive. Originally designed for Far-East Allied countries like the Chinese Nationalists, it has also been exported to other European countries like France and UK, as well as being used by the Luftwaffe themselves in limited numbers.

In real life the P.1107 was a blueprint Schnellbomber project, as seen in this Luft ’46 webpage. However, the description includes some very unreasonable descriptions like using 4 BMW 018 engines (which is too big to be fitted into the engine bay as described, and would produce in total 40% more thrust than a Mirage 2000). That and the fact that it needs some adjustments to fit the combat style in Simple Planes resulted in major changes, and thus being tagged as fictional despite it was modeled after a real life aircraft.
