AQ-10 Scout Racer Version 1.5

Please read all of this! If you do not please do not blame me if the plane acts weird, not my fault you did not read the instructions

The AQ-10 Scout Racer is a prop plane with high maneuverability, allowing missile evasion with ease, and equipped with automatic systems to help with landing. It can pull 60G and flies at Mach 1 with landing gears up (yes I know it’s based off the tutorial plane, all I did was supercharge the engines. But it still works the way it says it does). It excels in recon missions and missile and gunfire evasion, and air races.

Landing assist systems:
- Reverse thrust automatically idles at around 60 knots ground speed
- Pitch input locked up at around 90 knots true air speed to prevent tipping over while braking
- Pitch input locks neutral when low enough to the ground to set the plane down securely
- Reverse thrust is slower on the ground

AG1: Reverse thrust assist off (use this if you need to back up while taxiing)
AG2: Emergency air brakes (use this if you lose an engine)
AG8: Thrust
Brake input: Reverse thrust

Notes: Reverse thrust is responsive while airborne, that is how the craft slows down in the air without emergency air brake, which means that if you use this with only 1 engine you could end up in a flat spin. I also added GS, IAS, G force, and Mach speed indicators behind the segments in the wings because this thing is too small for a VR cockpit.

When landing: This is not like the thing where if you brake too hard you flip over and break something! This plane has safety systems that prevent this! All the pilot needs to do after touchdown is to pull on the brake, not let go, and let the computer do the rest.

General characteristics that don’t show up on the bottom of the page:
Airfoil: Symmetric
Engine power: 4000HP per engine, 8000HP total
Landing speed: 100 to 225 knots, optimal 150 knots

Launch instructions: Turn off AG8, wait for blades to orient, max throttle, wait for propellers to speed up. In this state the launch is primed, and turning on AG8 will launch.

What to do if you lose an engine: ACTIVATE AG2 IMMEDIATELY!!! If you do not do this you could end up in a flat spin while braking in the air. DO NOT LAUNCH OR ATTEMPT MANEUVERS WITH ONLY ONE ENGINE! THIS IS A GUARANTEES FLAT SPIN!

Maneuvers:
- Express turnaround: Full reverse while flying, then when the plane flips over, max throttle. Requires some timing
- Safe stall recovery: When the nose comes down during a stall, full reverse, then the rest is similar to the express turnaround

Newest Improvements:
- Added better speed control in the air, allowing two new maneuvers I call the “safe stall recovery” and “express turnaround”
- Added more restrictive throttle control when emergency air brake is on to prevent flat spinning
- Added automatic takeoff, just maximize the throttle to take off!
- Added more safety precautions, when emergency air brake is active, reverse thrust is disabled entirely
