Peregrine Archaeopteryx (Competition model)

Built for the competition. This is more of a Boom&Zoom plane, but it has moderate maneuverability. It is not, however, Peregrine Archaeopteryx best turn fighter.

This plane does not have landing gear due to the competition, but I will add a version with gear to represent a production Archaeopteryx. Also, this is the early WWII version before Korean War updates.

Here is some fake history...
.
The Archaeopteryx was originally drawn up during Seitwälder's time in WWII as an ally of Germany (however, when Seitwälder learned of the holocaust, they joined the allies). It was meant primarily to attack bomber formations over Germany and Seitwälder, but it was also meant to serve as an escort fighter for bombers that were also being developed. It was one of Peregrine Aviation's (during wwii it was called Peregrine Aviation, not Peregrine Aeroconcept; that name would come around after Korea) first jet designs. As the war raged on, Seitwälder asked Peregrine to store the Archaeopteryx concepts away, for it was impractical and unnecessary at the time. Then, when Seitwälder joined the Alllies, Seitwälder was acknowledged for its avoidance of war crimes and also for its change to the Allies. Seitwälder was allowed to keep its military and government, but under a watchful eye by America and England. Thus, when Me-262s took to the skies, Peregrine dusted off the concepts, added slight updates, and presented the new Archaeopteryx for Seitwälder service. The performance was very satisfactory. The Archaeopteryx served in several battles, protecting Allied troops, bombers, and making several Seitwälder aces, and proving Seitwälder's committment to being an ally to the Allied Powers. After the war, the US entered the Korean war. Seitwälder again supported America. The archaeopteryx was the best plane Seitwälder had at the time, so it was thoroughly updated for new threats such as the MiG 15. The performance was again extraordinary and the Archaeopteryx again became a power in the skies. After Korea, the Archaeopteryx was considered outdated and moved to national guard service. New concepts were drawn up for the next fighter. Seitwälder now honors Peregrine and the Archaeopteryx in the Aviation branch of the military museum.

Wow, what a wall of text that was...
