Backstory

Massachusetts, 1775, near Lexington. Bob Antson was running angrily from the bounty hunters for what seemed like the hundredth time. The bounty hunters, who were sent by his step father’s wicked brother named Steve, pursued him doggedly. Steve had led a Redcoat attack trying to destroy the Antson family, and he now used Bob, the only survivor, as his slave. The redcoats thought the Antsons were rebels, but they were not. Steve just wanted their money. It had been two years since Bob escaped Steve, and three years since his family had died. He was 16 years old and was very skinny. He had taught himself how to move quietly without being seen, run fast for long distances, and blend in with his surroundings. He was furious with the king’s soldiers and Steve for what they did to his family. He decided to help the Minutemen by giving them the weapons that he had confiscated from the bounty hunters after he dealt with them. In return, the minutemen taught him how to shoot a gun pretty well.
One night when Bob was sleeping in the hayloft of someone’s barn, he woke up to a loud racket. A man, Who he later found out to be Paul Revere, was riding on a horse and yelling, “The regulars are coming to try to take our arms from Concorde. Edward, hurry up, the regulars are coming”. A person, who Bob assumed was Edward, burst out of the door and ran to his barn. Bob realized it was the one that he was in. He dove down into a cart and pulled a horse blanket over him. The man opened the door, saddled a horse to the cart that he was in, and jumped in. After a few hours, Edward discovered Bob. Edward was a nice man; he wasn’t angry with Bob for hitching a ride, especially when Bob told him his story. Edward was a minuteman, but Bob had never seen him because he had only met the ones guarding the arms. Edward convinced Bob to help protect the arms. Bob was sad when they got to Concord because he wanted to keep talking with Edward. There were about 70 Minutemen, not including Bob. They all looked

in dismay because there were about 700 Redcoats. One of the officers declared, ”Do not fire unless fired upon, but if they want a war let it begin now”.
Both sides were silent, then suddenly the EERIE sound of gunshots filled the air. More shots, and more and more. Eight minutemen, Who Bob did not know, fell down dead. Edward was hit in the arm and Bob was hit in the leg. There were moans and cries of agony. The Redcoats contemptuously kicked aside moaning Minutemen. Bob felt anger building up like he had not known before. It was the anger of all the wrong that had happened to him and the Minutemen. In the back of the line of redcoats, he could barely see Steve with a Redcoat uniform on. As the Redcoats marched past to Concord, Bob dragged himself to the gun of one of the fallen Minutemen. His hands shook as he picked up the gun. He tried propping himself against a rock. He aimed right at Steve’s heart and he pulled the trigger. The backfire knocked Bob’s head against the rock. As he slumped and started to fall unconscious, he saw Steve fall down dead. Bob knew that there would be more Minutemen at the south bridge and he knew those Minutemen would open fire and would send the redcoats back to Boston and shame. Bob's last thoughts were that it was fitting that Steve died with a Redcoat uniform on.
Bob woke up to see the face of Edward peering down at him smiling. Edward had a bandage on his arm. “Bob”, Edward announced “The Revolutionary War has begun. So far no one knows who’s gonna win.”
Bob exclaimed in surprise, “What do you mean? How long have I been asleep? Where am I?”
Edward laughed, “Let me answer all those questions before you ask anymore. You’ve been asleep for three weeks and you’re in the Minutemen’s hospital”.
Bob was surprised that he had survived. He thought he wouldn’t make it. He was glad that Steve died because he deserved it after all the things he did.
And then he was shot down by an A-10 Warthog and spent 15 months in the hospital, where he decided to seek revenge by creating the ultimate weapon of war, the Amphibeast.
