--history-- the USS Thresher is a thresher class submarine (now Permits) made designed and developed in the USA the USS Thresher also happened to be the USA's first nuclear submarine. sadly the thresher sank on her first pressure depth test when she exceeded he maximum crush depth. --appearance-- the thresher and all other permit class subs have a red hull and a black upper hull the threshers number was 593. --instructions-- VTOL is to submerge the sub !¡don't use max VTOL for long because you'll lose the torpedoes.¡! --personal note-- this is my first submarine and it was fun to make so expect more subs at some point soon! ;)

@CatsinspaceYT It was a Thresher class submarine until the sinking of the USS Thresher, in which the following surviving subs were named after the Permit. The USS Thresher is still a Thresher class becuase it was sunk while still having the name designated to it. It sunk as a Thresher class, not as a Pemit class. The name was only changed for the other submarines still active under the same class to Permit.

@JustLookingForFriends this link would prove it with a simple google search so just stop being a sore loser and accept that's its still a permit class submarine not thresher otherwise there would be an enterprise class aircraft carrier when an enterprise sank but the name was still needed and is now recognized by her number so here is the link => https://www.google.com/search?q=thresher+class+sub&rlz=1C1VDKBenNZ933NZ933&sxsrf=AOaemvLhGkxV1xSlxfTF8RWHsSEZp3NwA%3A1641068505952&ei=2bfQYbPPOaqc4-EPkaOfOA&ved=0ahUKEwjzn-XKsJH1AhUqzjgGHZHRBwcQ4dUDCA4&uact=5&oq=thresher+class+sub&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAMyBQgAEIAEOgcIABBHELADOgYIABAWEB5KBAhBGABKBAhGGABQnAFYgQhglwpoAXACeACAAacCiAHBBZIBBTAuMS4ymAEAoAEByAEIwAEB&sclient=gws-wiz <=

@JustLookingForFriends USS thresher is on eternal patrol which means that the name "thresher" cannot be taken by branches subclasses classes or other boats this includes renaming it is still the permit class she was never struck from vessels in use just had the tag "eternal patrol" which means she sank while undertaking regular activities or was sank during war by a: and aircraft b:a enemy vessel c: water mine this would in turn lead to no other marine or navy aircraft or vessels to be named thresher this goes to old or new classes of vehicles

@CatsinspaceYT "Following Navy tradition, this class of subs was originally named Thresher after the lead boat. When Thresher was struck from the Naval Vessel Register on 16 April 1963, the class name was changed to that of the second boat, Permit, and Thresher is now officially referred to as a Permit-class submarine. Having been lost at sea, Thresher was not decommissioned by the U.S. Navy and remains on "Eternal Patrol"." - Once again, Wikipedia and her sources.

She was a THRESHER Class boat, not a Permit Class boat. The name was changed AFTER Thresher sank.
