Known as VX3 to the Vector team, PAVE was the next evolution in the series. After growing concerns about yaw authority post stall, engineers at Butler statrted work on a new aircraft. The bulky TVC box of older models would be removed in favour of paddles, hence the name PAVE, or Paddle Vector.
High AoA maneuvers can be executed at speeds below 500mph through abrupt pulling of the stick. Due to a lack of wing area, rotation speed is 250mph.
