Overview

This is Mirage Aircraft's first basic variation of a type for a customer order. This aircraft is a modified M200, which would normally only carry 20 passengers, lengthened and widened to accommodate around 80. The aircraft's specs and Flight instructions are listed below:

Before Takeoff:

Flaps- 1/2
Doors- Closed
Cockpit Instruments- Accurate
Before Takeoff Checklist complete.


Takeoff Procedure:

Set Throttle to 80%.
Use yaw to keep the aircraft on centerline.
At 80 mph, do instrument crosscheck.
At 100 mph, the takeoff can no longer be aborted.
At 135, begin a slow pitch up to 5-7 degrees.
Once the aircraft is airborne and has a positive rate, retract the landing gear.
Flaps up at 180.

Climb and Cruise:

Climb the aircraft at about 10 degrees until FL200-FL250 for long-range cruise.
Once in cruise, adjust power accordingly to maintain 325-350 mph.

Descent and Landing:

Descend at about 2000 fpm, make sure you descend a good ways out so you don't have to do steep dives. Do not exceed 400 MPH.

When you are 5 miles out, slow down to 180 and put down flaps 1/4.
When you are 3 miles out, slow down to 170, extend landing gear, and put down flaps 1/2.
When you are 4 miles out, slow down to 160 and put down flaps 3/4.
When you are 2 miles out, slow down to 150 and put down flaps full.

At 30-50 feet above the runway, cut power and allow the aircraft to sink towards the ground. At 10-15 feet, pull the nose up and allow the aircraft to sink on it's own to a soft landing. Gently lower the nose, and apply brakes until the aircraft slows to under 30 mph.
