TK-5

Tier 5, 7.7, Medium Tank

TK-5 [Pattana TK-5] is a Family of Tank designs made in Thailand during 1950 until 1969, consisting of many subvariants and main variants, it was partially introduced during Korean War and used mainly during Vietnam war, 6 testbed in a real battlefield environment yielded great results with around 6 Tank kill per 0.7 losses during a high ground fight with the NLA T-34-85 in korean war, it was more advanced than TK-3 as of having a better gun stabilisers and 90mm M4TK5 tank gun, better internal functions, all variants was fit with a Semi-Autoloading mechanism(Ammo Pushing rod) to allow for easier reload.

The design began in 1945 to find a solution to simplify the TK-3 to cut cost, but at that time the results were that of an unyielding, but during 1946, the plan was apparently changed into designing a Main Purpose Medium Tank that could not only fight tanks but fight everything and everyone, used along side many of the Tank destroyers at the time, the Thai's was influenced by the presence of the British Centurion tanks, and were to send the Armor Institute to conduct a research on this tank specifically, and the design were that of an adequate, it was finished in 1950, and have rarely seen use in Korean war. After which it was put into production and modified later in 1965 and 1969. The TK-5 wasn’t as modular as other previous designed tanks, but they are still being used, due to being cheap and affordable in the SEA regions for the modern day, having 10 served[1969 Variant] in Timor Leste Army. But at the time, TK-5 was a quite expensive Main Battle Tanks, due to economical downturn in 1948, it was almost cancelled due to the price, but after recovery (at most) it was decided to be continued again.

Unlike the TK-3, the gun Stabilisers is more than reliable, allowing itself to work on 44 mph without the gun getting out of control.
The 1950 Variant is also fitted with a larger "Spinning Ear" rangefinder, however, the feature itself is removed from 1965 and 1969 variants.
