Background:
This plane was loosely based on the BAC Lightning. Hence the weird name. Anyway I wanted a twin engine aircraft that can dogfight with single-engine crafts. The Thunderbolt II had both a massive conventional wing and a massive vertical rudder.
I was hoping that a thinner chord would help it pitch better and be given a straight wing for really tight maneuvers. and the massive vertical stabilizer had enough power to roll the aircraft while only giving marginal stability compared to the v rudder things.
Oh and the previous version had an issue of ripping itself apart during mach 2+ maneuvers I fixed this by making all the wings symmetrical which in-turn also gave it more horizontal speed.
tl;dr fast, nimble plane with enough guns and missiles to shoot down anything

Performance:
Its Horizontal Top Speed at 30000 feet is 1093 mph
It can achieve 1235mph at a shallow dive from 30000 ft up to 5000ft.
It should be able to out-turn Any other twin-engine Aircraft and at the wing's normal configuration.(can be further improved by moving the trim slightly upwards.

Controls:
Trim up to move the wings forward and down to move the wings backwards.
AG1-4 fires the Guardian missiles in pairs sequenced outwards
AG5 fires the Top mounted missiles All at once
AG6 Deploys the parachute for hot landings
AG7 for spare countermeasures when the main ones run out.
