The Qiang-5 aircraft is a single-seat, twin-engine, supersonic ground attack aircraft designed and manufactured by China itself, and its main mission is to support ground troops in combat, using airborne bombs, rockets, and cannons to penetrate at low altitude, ultra-low altitude and high speed, and attack enemy ground targets, such as enemy strong positions, transportation hubs, airfields, stations, tank groups, missile launch positions, or ships along the near line. The Q-5 aircraft also has a self-defense capability and can use cannons and rockets to attack enemy aircraft. The Strong 5 variant is also equipped with air-to-air missiles, which can be used to fight enemy aircraft at low and medium altitudes. Qiang-5 aircraft was put into mass production for 69 years, and began to develop various types of modified aircraft since 1977, such as Qiang-5I, Qiang-5II, Qiang-5III, and Qiang-5-M. The reasonable aerodynamic layout and comprehensive measures of the Qiang-5 aircraft have enabled its low-altitude penetration capability to reach the world's advanced level. The Qiang-5M type is the result of the cooperation between China and Italy. It uses a large number of advanced electronic equipment, which has enhanced the combat capability by a considerable part.
